Two-time Oscar-winning actor Kevin Spacey has been cleared of all charges after a month-long trial in London on claims of sexual assault.
Spacey had tears in his eyes as the jury at Southwark Crown Court found him not guilty of seven counts of sexual assault and two counts of other serious sexual offenses, according to CNN.
"I imagine that many of you can understand that there's a lot for me to process after what has just happened today. But I would like to say that I'm enormously grateful to the jury for having taken the time to examine all of the evidence and all of the facts carefully, before they reached their decision. And I am humbled by the outcome today," Spacey said in a statement to reporters outside the court shortly after the verdict.
The actor has returned to acting in recent years after leaving House of Cards. The actor starred in the Netflix series for five seasons before being fired in 2017 over allegations of misconduct on and off the set.
Last year, a New York jury found Spacey not liable for battery on allegations he picked up then-teenaged actor Anthony Rapp and laid on top of him after a party in 1986.
