On Thursday, May 20, at 7 p.m., City Winery Chicago, 1200 W. Randolph St., will host the first in-person performance of "3 Martini Jeannie."
Throughout the pandemic, every Friday at 5 p.m., Tanner celebrated the close of each week with live music, performing audience requests and sharing martini recipes online. When shows could be safely performed outside, Tanner was joined by longtime musical collaborators Stacy McMichael (bass) and Derek Henderson (drums).
The May 20 show will showcase a diverse repertoire of covers, including songs by artists such as Alicia Keys, Amy Winehouse, Camila Cabello, Lizzo and Norah Jones; as well as Tanner's original songs. Joining the band will be two special guests: Abigail Riccards (vocals/piano) and Lisa McQueen (piano). Tanner will also be taking a few audience requests.
