In the Illinois Holocaust Museum's 10th Anniversary year, the Women's Leadership Committee is hosting "Soiree" on Thursday, Sept. 19, 6-9 p.m., at Morgan Manufacturing, 401 N. Morgan St.

A press release stressed that the museum's mission is more important than ever. The FBI's 2017 Hate Crimes Report reported a 22 percent increase in neo-Nazi groups and a 17 percent increase in hate crimes nationwide. Funds raised from "Soiree" support opportunity scholarships, allowing financially challenged schools to visit the museum.

Tickets are $200 each; visit www.ilholocaustmuseum.org/wlc-soiree-reservations or call 846-967-4821 .
