Just goes to show you—I should never leave town. Don't get me wrong, I had a much-needed blast getting all woodsy with the wife in Michigan last weekend, but I just knew that my anal-control-moment would come about when I got back. And here's why...
You may have noticed the very same picture of Hans Ebson in many ads last week. Big deal, huh? So I figured, how cute would it be to get pix of him from all the bars and call it 'Hans Across America.' So I assigned certain photographers certain venues. BJ hiked out to Temptations, Eagle and Man's Country. The intrepid graysong braved @mosphere. And a third unnamed photog, whom I love dearly and hold blameless, did not return with the pix I was expecting from Hydrate. Wouldn't have been such a big fat hairy if Nightspots weren't the media sponsor of the night at Hydrate where young Hans was scheduled to perform. So to Hydrate I offer this consolation: Please enjoy the spectacular shots of DJ Kimberly S, the surreal cover taken on the 'floor Friday night and, as an added bonus, coverage of Stella's show.
Elsewhere, Funky Buddha played host ( and hostess ) to Le Tigre's JD as DJ. This was the kick-off of their expanded pansexual paradise, thanks to the added efforts of Scott from Flawless. Fucking packed, people. Get there early but, for Chrissakes, get there!
Why is it that I can't get down to InnExile without being violently molested? That Duke's got some busy hands. Sorry Duke, this mare's been broken.
Mark your calendars: The Leather Archives and Museum will celebrate 15 years this Memorial Day Weekend. More details to come.
