Chicago, IL. - September 8th - The Human Rights Campaign (HRC) Chicago Steering Committee is proud to host its Annual - Human Rights Campaign Chicago Fundraising Dinner and Auction!! The Dinner and Auction will be held on Saturday, November 4, 2023, at 5:30 PM at the Fairmont Chicago in Millennium Park. This year's Dinner and Auction will be held during HRC's National State of Emergency for the LGBTQ+ community.
In 2023, we will celebrate the achievements of our Chicago and Illinois Communities and their work to ensure that we continue to be a Safe Haven for all persons. At the same time, we recognize that there has been an alarming rise in anti-LGBTQ+ sentiment and legislation around the country, especially in a few of our neighboring states. In 2023, it has been a record-breaking year with over 525 anti-equality bills introduced in Legislators across the United States. Over 75 of these bills have been enacted as law. Of the 525+ bills introduced, about 220 specifically target transgender persons.
Despite these Challenges, we are resilient, which is why HRC's Chicago Steering Committee is working tirelessly this year to raise funds to continue getting pro-equality legislators elected.
We are calling on the residents and businesses of Chicago to stand with us until every person, regardless of gender expression or sexuality, has freedom without exception, liberation without exception, joy without exception, and pride without exception.
Opportunities for our Silent Auction and to become a Corporate Sponsor are still available; email Communications@HRCChicago.org for more information. Additionally, tickets are available now; prices start at $300 for general admission and $425 for VIP admission.
