A historic number of corporations earned the top score in Human Rights Campaign's ( HRC's ) 2014 Corporate Equality Index ( CEI ), according to a press release.
This national benchmarking tool on corporate policies and practices related to LGBT workplace equality found that 304 major businessesspanning nearly every industry and geographyearned a top score of 100 percent and the coveted distinction of "Best Places to Work for LGBT Equality."
The Illinois companies that achieved a top 2014 CEI score of 100 are A.T. Kearney Inc., Aon Corp., Baker & McKenzie LLP, BMO Bankcorp Inc., Boeing Co., Chapman and Cutler LLP, Exelon Corp., Groupon Inc., Hinshaw & Culbertson LLP, Huron Consulting Group Inc., Hyatt Hotels Corp., Jenner & Block LLP, Katten Muchin Rosenman LLP, Kirkland & Ellis LLP, Kraft Foods Inc. ( Northfield, Ill. ), Leo Burnett Company Inc. and Mayer Brown LLP.
There were also McDermott Will & Emery LLP, MillerCoors LLC, Navigant Consulting Inc., Northern Trust Corp., Orbitz Worldwide Inc., Schiff Hardin LLP, Sears Holdings Corp. ( Hoffman Estates, Ill. ), Seyfarth Shaw LLP, Sidley Austin LLP, Starcom MediaVest Group, United Airlines, Walgreen Co. ( Deerfield, Ill. ), and Winston & Strawn LLP.
