Join GLSEN Chicago, other GSA members, student activists, and GSA advisors at the 17th Chicago Area Youth Leadership Summit on Saturday, Oct. 22. Come to the summit and meet other LGBTQ youth and allies from all over Chicago and the suburbs, learn about planning GSA events/actions, have fun, eat lunch and participate in workshops.
Some of the sample workships will include 'You Have a GSA, What Next?: GSA Events and Actions,' 'Show Me the Money: Raising Money for Your Club,' 'Alphabet Soup: Who Are the People in Our Acronym?', 'Political Activism', 'Introduction to Improv,' 'Arts & Crafts', and much more.
Events are Saturday, Oct. 22, 11 a.m.-6 p.m. at University of Chicago, School of Social Service Administration, 969 E. 60th St. in Chicago. The event is open to students K-12 with or without GSA's, GSA advisors, educators, school staff or allies.
