The Gay Liberation Network will be welcoming Sam Kosha, a board member of the Persian Gay & Lesbian Organization ( PGLO ) , to Chicago on Oct. 6 for a reception benefiting his group.
PGLO has emerged as the foremost advocacy group for GLBT people in Iran. It has also taken a clear stance against those who would use the clerical regime's repression as an excuse to attack their country.
The reception will be held at Gerber/Hart Library, 1127 W. Granville, 7-9 p.m. The suggested donation is $10-$25. The reception will feature remarks from Kosha, light refreshments and an audio-visual presentation about the repression of LGBT people around the world.
