Brokeback Mountain director Ang Lee will direct a gay Woodstock movie, according to Advocate.com . The film, Taking Woodstock, is about Elliot Tiber, the gay man who helped make Woodstock happen in 1969 by issuing the permit for the historic music festival. The movie is an adaptation of Tiber's 2007 memoir, Taking Woodstock: A True Story of a Riot, a Concert, and a Life.
According to the New York Post's gossip pages, actress Lindsay Lohan is getting a bit possessive of her lesbian DJ friend Samantha Ronson. The New York Post reported that Lohan screamed at Ashley Olsen for saying hello to Ronson at NYC's Beatrice Inn, shouting, 'Get your 15-year-old 'Full House' ass away from my girlfriend!' The gossip pages also revealed that Lohan supposedly created a Facebook profile that lists her name as Lindsay Ronson.
Transformers star Megan Fox was named the Sexiest Woman in the World by FHM Magazine. Fox beat out last year's winner, Jessica Alba, who placed third after Jessica Biel. Also appearing in the top five of the annual '100 Sexiest Women in the World' list: Elisha Cuthbert ( '24' ) and Scarlett Johansson. Britney Spears barely made the cut this year, landing the final spot on the list as No. 100.
Former 'The View' host Star Jones is splitting from husband Al Reynolds, according to a statement Jones made to Entertainment Tonight. After three years of marriage, the two have quietly filed for divorce. Since the marriage, rumors have circulated that Reynolds is gay, but Jones has always denied the speculation. Her former hubby's name has appeared in the gossip pages in stories revealing supposed former male lovers and alleged past trips to Fire Island.
Gay men adore Tori Spelling ( 'Beverly Hills 90210' and 'Trick' ) and she knows it. That's why the blonde beauty will star in a new gay-themed film, 'Kiss the Bride.' Spelling will play the fiancée of a man who had a gay fling in high school. His former fling learns that he's to marry and tries to intervene. Spelling told Reuters, 'I'm a huge fan of gays. They love me; I love them. They consider me kind of a gay icon, which they've labeled me as.'
The L Word's Elizabeth Keener, who played the devious SheBar owner Dawn Denbo this past season, will star as a lesbian FBI agent in a new drama series for the here! network. Keener, who is actress Catherine Keener's younger sister, will play a role in developing the new hour-long series, according to the Hollywood Reporter. Keener's starring character is a lesbian who struggles with personal demons while on an undercover assignment. |
