LOS ANGELES, CA — (April 12, 2011) — The third season of the hit LIFETIME dramedy series DROP DEAD DIVA, starring Brooke Elliott, has a very special upcoming episode ripped straight from the headlines.
Episode 5 was inspired by the real-life story of Mississippi high school student Constance McMillen, who was denied access to her prom because of her sexual orientation. Jane (Brooke Elliott) brings the case of two lesbians who were banned from attending their prom to Judge Wright (Wanda Sykes). In a unique twist, McMillen will be on board to play a cameo role in Judge Wright's courtroom.
Other guest stars include former *NSYNC band member Lance Bass, who will be starring as a casting director attempting to get Fred (Ben Feldman) into an energy drink commercial; "American Idol" alum Clay Aiken, who will be starring as a witness in one of Grayson's (Jackson Hurst) cases about a mail-order bride scam and former "Married With Children" star Amanda Bearse as a judge.
