The Baby Formula ( already out; $24.95 ) : Filmmaker Alison Reid helms this comedic movie that asks, "What if women could have babies without men?" Two women in love with each other use an experimental scientific process to create sperm from each others' stem cells so they can both be biologically related to their offspring. The Barbara Stanwyck Collection ( April 27; $49.98 ) : Universal Home Video's latest addition to its Backlot Series on DVD is The Barbara Stanwyck Collection, featuring six of her most rarely shown features, some never before available on home video in any format. The movies in the set are Internes Can't Take Money, The Great Man's Lady, The Bride Wore Boots, The Lady Gambles, All I Desire and There's Always Tomorrow.
Blood Creek ( already out; $26.98 ) : Openly gay film director Joel Schumacher ( Tigerland ) helms this movie, a supernatural horror-thriller concerning two brothers ( Dominic Purcell and the luscious Henry Cavill ) who find themselves at the center of a terrifying occult experiment. DVD special features include an audio commentary with Schumacher.
Brothers ( March 23; $29.95 ) : This highly acclaimed movie stars Jake Gyllenhaal ( Brokeback Mountain ) , Tobey Maguire and Natalie Portman as parts of a triangle that tests the limits of love and loyalty. Sam Shepard and Mare Winningham co-star. Extras include a commentary by director Jim Sheridan ( who has been nominated for an Oscar six times ) and two featurettes.
Dare ( already out; $27.98 ) : Originally a short on the Boys Life 5 collection, this Image Entertainment film tells the story of a gay high-school student who seduces a bad boywhile his best girlfriend has designs on the same guy. Zach Gilford, Emmy Rossum, Ashley Springer, Sandra Bernhard, Ana Gasteyer and Alan Cumming star.
Dead Snow ( already out; $24.98 ) : When a group of medical students take a sex-and-booze-fueled ski vacation to a remote cabin in the Norwegian Alps, they uncover a dark secret from World War II that resurrects Nazi zombies. ( Yes, you read that correctly. ) If you're into gore, look no further than this film, which has been named one of Entertainment Weekly's Top 25 zombie-themed movies ever.
Dirt: Season Two ( May 4; $29.95 ) : This deliciously scandalous F/X series that ended too soon stars Courtney Cox as Lucy Spiller, the relentless editor of Hollywood's most influential gossip publication. Season one included drug-addicted celebrities, Lucy's gay brother, stalkingand Spiller being stabbed. The second season picks up where the stabbing left off, and the twists and turns continue. The two-disc DVD set features all seven hour-long episodes.
Flexing with Monty ( already out; $17.49 ) : "Bizarre" doesn't even begin to describe this film that focuses on the very homoerotic relationship between muscular Monty ( the late Trevor Goddard ) and his 17-year-old brother, Bertin ( Rudi Davis ) . ( A moment in which Monty has sex with a blow-up doll while looking at images of himself working out is one of the tamer scenes. ) Then, Sally Kirkland arrives as a nun and things REALLY get weird. Extras include an interview with director John Albo and bios of all the cast members.
Jodie Foster: Star Collection ( already out: $24.98 ) : This collection presents four of actress Jodie Foster's films: Foxes, The Hotel New Hampshire, Little Man Tate and the classic The Silence of the Lambs. This collection will allow you to see how Foster's talent has grown, and includes Tate, which marked her directorial debut. This offer is available through TLA Video ( www.tlavideo.com ) .
Mad Men: Season Three ( March 23; $49.98 ) : Matthew Weiner's award-winning AMC drama will finally have its third season out, in a four-disc set. The package will include all 13 episodes of the season, which originally aired last fall. As with the previous two seasons, there are loads of special features, including commentaries and featurettes. The Blu-ray disc ( $49.99 for a three-disc set ) also includes a look at the inventions, events and people that defined 1963, the year the season is set.
Nurse Jackie: Season One ( already out; $39.98 ) : The three-disc set of Showtime's critically acclaimed series has arrived, courtesy of Lionsgate. Emmy winner Edie Falco ( for The Sopranos ) stars as the title character, a flawed emergency room nurse in New York City. And the gay community is definitely included, thanks to hunky nurse Mohammed "Mo-Mo" De La Cruz ( played by Haaz Sleiman ) ; nurse Thor ( Stephen Wallem ) ; and Dr. Fitch Cooper's lesbian mothers ( Blythe Danner and Swoosie Kurtz ) . The DVD and Blu-ray disc include all 12 episodes of the debut season plus extensive commentaries, interviews and featurettes.
Precious: Based on the Novel Push by Sapphire ( already out; $29.95 ) : You've no doubt heard about this powerful Oscar-winning Lionsgate movie that focuses on the story of Claireece "Precious" Jones ( played by Oscar-nominated Gabourey Sidibe in her film debut ) , a 16-year-old who has to endure hell on earth because of a monstrous mother ( played by Oscar winner Mo'Nique ) , an absent father who impregnated Precious twice and a chaotic school. The film, based on a book written by bisexual author Sapphire, also was nominated for best film and best director ( openly gay African American Lee Daniels ) . Paula Patton co-stars as a lesbian teacher; others in the movie include The View's Sherri Shepard, musician Lenny Kravitz and a seriously de-glammed Mariah Carey. Among the special features are a commentary by Daniels and Sidibe's audition.
The Princess and the Frog ( March 16; $29.99 ) : This Disney movie makes history as Tiana becomes the first African American in the long line of that company's animated princesses. The film takes place in New Orleans as Tiana meets her frog prince and gives him that fateful kiss. Celebrities who lend their voices to the production include Anika Noni Rose, Jenifer Lewis, Terrence Howard, John Goodman and Oprah Winfrey. Special features include deleted scenes; audio commentary; and games and activities.
St. Trinian's ( already out; $24.96 ) : A bevy of well-known actors ( including Rupert Everett, Colin Firth, Mischa Barton and Lena Headley ) headline this cinematic tale about the title school for young ladies, and a battle between students and authorities. Bonus features include deleted scenes, a featurette, a blooper reel and a music video by British music sensation Girls Aloud.
