Chicago Bulls player DeMar DeRozan's streak of scoring 35 points was stopped at eight games as the team (39-22) lost to the Memphis Grizzlies (42-20) 116-110 at the United Center on Feb. 26.
In winning, Grizzlies All-Star guard Ja Morant scored a regular-season franchise-record 46 points, ESPN noted. Morant broke Mike Miller's previous record (45 points) that was set in 2007.
However, DeRozan still scored 31 points, giving him 10 straight 30-point games. That's the longest such streak by a Bulls player since Michael Jordan did it in 10 straight from Dec. 25, 1990, to Jan. 14, 1991.
Zach LaVine scored 28 points for the Bulls in his second game back after missing the final three prior to the All-Star break because of his ailing left knee.
The Miami Heat will be next for the Bulls, as Chicago visits Miami on Monday, Feb. 28.
