The Gay, Lesbian and Straight Education network nationwide Day of Silence/Night of Noise is Wednesday, April 13. Students from all over the Chicago area and the U.S. will use this day to raise awareness about the silencing of LGBTQ voices, as well as those of their allies. The GLSEN Chicago Night of Noise rally that evening is in downtown Chicago, starting at 5:30 p.m. Last year's rally drew more than 300 students and adults. It will be from 5:30-7:30 p.m., State of Illinois Building, 100 W. Randolph.
