Measure for Measure, Chicago Shakespeare Theater, Navy Pier, through March 20. Shakespeare's never-more-timely tale making politics and sexual shenanigans uneasy bedfellows gets an inspired update from director Barbara Gaines. RR
Naked Boys Singing, Bailiwick Theatre, open run. The songs are witty, the singers with the big—uh, voices are charming, and it's run for over three years. Sounds like exactly the kind of good, clean, playful, bare-ass fun for the post-New Year doldrums. MSB
Red Scare, Second City Ninety First Revue, 1616 N. Wells, open run. The talented troupe cranks out yet another scathing look at modern day moods and mores, pushing the envelope on taste and political correctness. Thank God. RR
Solo Latinas, Teatro Luna at Chicago Dramatists, through Feb. 13. Once more the mujeres latinas turn small change into wonderful theater with monologs about their lives and loves, and the preconceptions and misconceptions with which they must deal. JA
