Red Scare, The Second City, open run. The talented troupe cranks out yet another scathing look at modern day moods and mores, pushing the envelope on taste and political correctness. Thank God. This is The Second City's 91st revue. RR
Santaland Diaries, Theater Wit at Raven, 6157 N. Clark, through Jan. 8. Joe Foust gets David Sedaris' sardonic Macy's elf just right in this sugar-free, and hilarious, adaptation of the piece that launched Sedaris to fame and fortune ( adapted by Joe Mantello ) . RR
