The Lesbian Community Cancer Project will present the 16th Annual Coming Out Against Cancer Ball—complete with the '20s theme 'Flappers & Fedoras'—on Feb. 24 at South Shore Cultural Center, 7059 S. Shore Drive.

A host of surprises and mini-events await attendees this year. At 6-8 p.m., there will be hors d'oevures, an open bar and a first look at the silent auction, which will all be followed by dinner. In addition, at 8 p.m.-12 a.m., there will be five speakeasies, two 'juke joints' playing dance music and a 'Bonnie & Clyde Silent Auction.' There will also be a dessert bar with lots of chocolate, and even a post office to find Ms. Right.

In addition, Gay Games Chicago; Chicago Community Trust; and Women and Children First Bookstore will be honored as Coming Out Against Cancer 2007 Award recipients.

Tickets start at $75 each. See www.LCCP.org .
