WHERE?: The Holiday Club, 4000 N. Sheridan Rd, Chicago, IL

HOW MUCH?: **$5 suggested donation, with FREE ADMISSION to festival-first timers, and no one turned away for lack of funds!

Join us as some fabulous DJ's help get our bodies dancing, or enjoy some quieter space talking to old and new friends in the adjoining room... We will also have snacks, and be sure to purchase some raffle tickets at $3 each from some of our local Raffle Divas. We have some AMAZING raffle prizes that are too extensive to fully list here, but include Michfest swag, A FREE SIX-DAY MICHFEST TICKET, an overnight stay at the Klimpton's Palomar Hotel, tickets to a Bitch concert at Schuba's, Dykes in the City clothes, gift certificates to lots of places (Pleasure Chest, anyone?), and seriously MUCH, MUCH MORE. ("Ooooh, Ahhh, fabulous prizes!!")

Enjoy our slideshow showing pictures from the festival, and take advantage of some drink specials at the cash bar as well. Around 300 women turned out last year for a great night of mingling, dancing and Michfest love. Join us as we begin our countdown to the most amazing gathering on the planet--Michfest 36!!

**Party proceeds will fund ticket purchase for women who need help to get to Festival. There will be a special raffle drawing for those who need some help getting to the festival. You don't have to stay for the whole party to win the drawing, but you DO need to be there to enter your name for a chance to win!!

For those of you newer to fest, who have never gone yet, here's some additional information that may help... The 36thAnnual Michfest will be August 2-7, 2011. This August, hundreds of Chicago women are heading north to Hart, Michigan to attend the legendary Michfest. We will join thousands of women from across the globe in this paradise on 650 gorgeous acres of woods, ferns and rolling fields. Don't miss what will be one of the greatest experiences of your life with music, dancing, workshops, delicious food, parties, bonfires, hiking, and camping. You will find an amazing feeling of community, friendship, openness, and high-energy fun.

Whether you like quiet hikes and movies under the stars, workshops on everything from kissing (umm, a "hands-on" class) to singing to trapeze tricks to finances... Or if you prefer mosh pits, crowd surfing and late night parties deep in the woods, you will have the time of your life as part of this amazingly diverse community that is Michfest.

Join us at the Holiday Club on April 30th for a great party, and to learn more and meet some amazing women. We will have info on tickets, ride shares, and all things festival, and we'll raise money to buy tickets for those who need help. (It could be YOU!)

Your Half-Way Party hosts:

Brenda Schumacher, Jenae Williams, Julie King, Lee Knauer, Maisha Najuma Aza, Marla Nitt, Pat McCombs, Sherry Wright, Suzanne Blum-Grundyson
