The neo-noir short film Lakeshore Drive is part of The Wayward Film Festival that runs through Thursday, Nov. 16.

The film's plot is as follows: During a routine rideshare experience, the driver discovers his passenger is a transgender acquaintance from high school who is escaping the dark world of prostitution. When her pimp—a crooked cop—demands to know her whereabouts, the driver is forced to choose between her life or his own.

Films compete in various categories for cash prizes. By signing up, interested persons can vote for films for free.

See waywardfest.com/, or look under "Wayward Film Festival" on Facebook. Also, see "Lakeshore Drive" on Facebook .
