Longtime community activist Rosalind Glanton died suddenly Nov. 8. Glanton was recognized for her work as a founding board member of Affinity at the agency's 15th anniversary benefit at Sidetrack in October.
Affinity Community Services reported the news on their Facebook page, and friends immediately posted their shock at the sudden loss.
As a photographer, Glanton helped document hundreds of community events, and produced a calendar of African-American women. She was ubiquitous at community events and benefits, supporting a range of causes.
Visitation and funeral services took place Nov. 14-15 at A R Leak & Sons Funeral Home. 7838 S. Cottage Grove.
