CHICAGO (May 20, 2022) The Chicago Sky activated Kahleah Copper and released Tina Krajisnik from her hardship exemption contract, the team announced today.
Copper joins the Sky after returning from Spain, where she won the Spanish League Championship and was crowned MVP with Perfumerías Avenida in May 2022. Copper was also named EuroLeague MVP in April 2022. The 2021 WNBA Finals MVP led Avenida with an average of 21.4 points.
Krajisnik signed a training camp contract with the Sky on February 25, 2022. Krajisnik, a 6'3" Serbian player, has been playing professionally for 16 years in various countries, most notably for the Serbian national team. She most recently competed overseas with Turkey's Galatasaray.
The Sky will travel to Washington, DC to play the Mystics for its second Commissioner's Cup game on Sunday, May 22, at 2 p.m. CT.
