The Red Stars welcomed Alyssa Mautz, Nikki Stanton and Bianca St. Georges back as starters, but fell to the OL Reign 2-0 on June 22 in Tacoma, Washington.
After returning to the pitch June 5 for the first time since suffering a torn ACL injury, Mautz started her first game for the Red Stars since the 2019 NWSL season. She had 31 touches, 22 passes, and three tackles before being subbed off in the 62nd minute.
Stanton played the full game for Chicago and totaled 45 touches, a team-high 14 duels, three tackles and two interceptions, and added a clearance to close out her night. Despite being sent off in stoppage time after being shown her second yellow card of the game, St. Georges accumulated three clearances, two interceptions, a tackle and 21 passes, and tied for second on the team for touches with 50.
The Red Stars return home to take on Racing Louisville FC for their Pride Match on Saturday, June 26, at 1 p.m. CT.
