Sarah Woldmoe scored a brace (meaning two goals) and Katie Johnson added another to give Chicago a 3-0 victory over Kansas City (2-11-4) on Aug. 28 at SeatGeek Stadium.
Woldmoe's performance earned her an emphatic Player of the Match. She scored once in the 36th minute and her second in the 62nd minute. She would also finish with 56 touches, a perfect percentage for duels won, two tackles, three interceptions, won back possession eight times (a team high) and 40 total passes.
Tierna Davidson and Casey Krueger made their returns, playing integral roles in the Red Stars defense.
The Red Stars (7-7-3) next travel to take on Gotham FC on Saturday, Sept. 4, at 6 p.m. CT.
