Reality-TV staple Khloe Kardashian has apologized for a "nipple slip" that occurred during a live morning television broadcast, according to Digital Spy. While appearing with sister Kourtney on the show Fox & Friends, Khloe's sheer black top left her nipple exposed to viewers. On Twitter, she said, "[P]erhaps I was a member of a nudist colony in my last life. On a more serious note though, to those who I offended, I am very sorry. It truly was an accident, but I would be lying if I said I thought this was a big deal."
Singer Michelle Williams has previewed her new single, "On the Run," Digital Spy reported. The former Destiny's Child member's new solo single is slated to be out later this summer. Williams' song "We Break the Dawn" was a hit in dance clubs (including gay nightspots) in 2008.
Original TV Wonder Woman Lynda Carter is unhappy that NBC rejected the new Wonder Woman pilot, according to Digital Spy. Carter said, "I was disappointed that it didn't work out, and I don't have a clue as to why it didn't work out [or] what the problems were. But you never know: Things can still get resurrected or retooled, so I haven't given up [hope]." Last month, NBC declined to pick up the pilot, which starred Adrianne Palicki as the title character.
Glee executive producer Ian Brennan has said that he is not worried about NBC's new musical, Smash, adding that having a similar show could help his show, according to Digital Spy. "They say that when two restaurants open in the same neighbourhood it's actually good for both of them," he said. "If we were able to bring more musicals to TV then that actually benefits us. It's very flattering, in fact."
Whitney Houston is tired of talk-show host Wendy Williams speaking about her, according to the National Enquirer. On her daytime show, Williams has been regularly discussing Houston's substance-abuse problems, saying she wants to help the troubled singer. Also, on her May 11 show, Williams criticized Houston for not spending enough time in rehab. A friend of Houston reportedly said, "Whitney said Wendy is using her to get ratings and it has nothing to do with being concerned about her."
The Seattle Mariners have become the fourth team in major-league baseball that will film an "It Gets Better" video, according to a press release. Inspired by news that the San Francisco Giants had responded to fan Sean Chapin's petition on Change.org by becoming the first pro sports team to create the anti-bullying video, openly gay Mariners fan and Iraq War veteran Eric Williams decided to ask the Mariners to step up to the plate. Soon, more than 3,000 people had signed Williams' petition on Change.org . The Chicago Cubs and Boston Red Sox have also pledged to film videos.
Comedian and 30 Rock actor Tracy Morgan has been accused of homophobia. Kevin Rogers reported on his Facebook page that, while attending Morgan's stand-up act in Nashville, Tenn., Morgan went on a viciously anti-gay rant. Rogers alleges that "Morgan took it upon himself to mention about how he feels all this gay s*it was crazy and that women are a gift from God and that 'Born this Way' is bulls*it, gay is a choice, and the reason he knows this is exactly because 'God don't make no mistakes.'" Morgan later sent the following statement: "I want to apologize to my fans and the gay & lesbian community for my choice of words at my recent stand-up act in Nashville. I'm not a hateful person and don't condone any kind of violence against others. While I am an equal opportunity jokester, and my friends know what is in my heart, even in a comedy club this clearly went too far and was not funny in any context."
The fallout has continued from Morgan's words as openly gay 30 Rock co-star Cheyenne Jackson said he was "disgusted" by the comedian's rant, according to the Huffington Post. Jackson said, "I am disgusted and appalled by Tracy Morgan's homophobic rant. ... I'm incredibly disappointed by his actions, and hope that his apology is sincere." Lesbian comic Wanda Sykes criticized Morgan and anti-gay politics, tweeting, "Tracy is just a dumb comic. I fault the [Tennessee] lawmakers. They've created an anti-gay environment."
Actress Chloe Sevigny is playing a transgender character in the upcoming British drama Hit and Miss, according to an On Top Magazine item. Sevigny, 36, will take on the role of Mia in the six-episode drama. According to an item on Deadline Hollywood, Mia "is a transgender hit man who ... has fathered several children." Sevigny (who was on the U.S. TV show Big Love), played Lana Tisdel, a woman who falls in love with transgender man Brandon Teena, in the 1999 movie Boys Don't Cry.

Sir Ian McKellen and singer Samantha Fox are among those featured in a new British TV campaign for the Albert Kennedy Trust to raise awareness about victimized LGBT individuals, the Guardian reported. The ad aims to show that, with a few unfortunate events, anyone's life could end in life-threatening situations such as homelessness and prostitution. The trust was founded following the death of Kennedy, a 17-year-old who was the victim of a fatal anti-gay attack in 1989.
The U.S. version of the British TV show Skins is gone. According to Digital Spy, MTV has axed the show after one season due to low ratings. The show began amid controversy when the Parents Television Council claimed the series broke child-pornography laws. The show also had some negative buzz in the LGBT community because the U.S show replaced a gay male student with a lesbian charactera development some thought took place to titillate heterosexual males.
Actress Emilia Clarke has admitted feeling awkward filming some of the sex scenes in the HBO medieval-fantasy series Game of Thrones, according to Digital Spy. Clarke said that she felt a little uncomfortable filming a "mildly lesbian" scene with Roxanne McKee. Clarke said, "That was the most tricky, I found. I think it was because Dany [Clarke's character] found it tricky. Obviously with the much stronger scenes Dany had to go into a different mind state to try to escape it, so I did as well." Game of Thrones, which has already been renewed for a second season, is based on a series of fantasy novels.
Michael Strahan, the record-setting former defensive end of the New York Giants, has filmed a video with his fiancée for the Human Rights Campaign (HRC) as part of the group's New Yorkers for Marriage Equality campaign. In the video, the Strahan feels "it's unfair to keep committed couples from getting married." On the 25th anniversary of its arrival to the U.S. Supreme Court, the historic legal battle over the "Gay Olympics" is the subject of a documentary airing on PBS stations around the country beginning this month and running throughout the summer, according to a press release. San Francisco filmmakers Jonathan Joiner and Robert Martin's documentary, Claiming the Title: Gay Olympics on Trial, examines the lawsuit that pitted Olympic athlete Tom Waddell and legal activist Mary Dunlap against the U.S. Olympics Committee as well as its ultimate resolution before the U.S. Supreme Court.
An intern for Florida Republican Congressman Allen West has been fired for retweeting a message from Scissor Sisters' Ana Matronic about Tracy Morgan's recent anti-gay rant, according to Advocate.com . The message the singer sent was, "Dear Tracy Morgan's son: if you are gay, you can TOTALLY come live with me. We'll read James Baldwin & watch Paris is Burning. xxANA."
