The Situation, Snooki, J-Woww and the other regulars from the MTV hit series Jersey Shore are coming back for a second season, according to People.com . A statement from MTV read that the original cast will "escape the cold Northeast and find themselves in a new destination."
Heiress Casey Johnson, 30who was engaged to reality-TV show figure Tila Tequiladied of complications related to her lifelong diabetes, according to the Los Angeles Times. The coroner's office determined that Johnson's death resulted from diabetic ketoacidosis, a complication in which acids called ketones accumulate to poisonous levels.
Brittany Murphy, 32the actress best-known for her roles in Clueless, Don't Say A Word and other filmsdied of pneumonia, with iron-deficiency anemia and multiple drug intoxication listed as secondary causes, according to an E! Online report. ( All the medications ingested were prescription drugs. ) A more detailed report is expected in about two weeks. Murphy died Dec. 20, 2009.
Priscilla, Queen of the Desert, is slated to open on Broadway March 6, 2011, according to a Broadway World item. Priscilla, which has been a hit in London's West End, will be in Canada first, though; it's expected to play Toronto's Princess of Wales Theater Oct. 12, 2010. Priscilla tells the story of Adam, Tick and Bernadette, a trio of impersonators who travel to the Australian outback in the trusty title bus.
Mark Feehily, a single in the Irish pop group Westlife, recently announced his engagement to boyfriend Kevin McDaid on Twitter, Pink News reported. Feehily tweeted: "Hi guys, ITS TRUE!!! Myself & Kevin are engaged!! We are so happy! Exciting times ahead,thanks for all ur kind words! Lotsa love, Mark&Kevin x." Feehily officially came out in 2005, when he started dating McDaid.
Anderson Cooper has taken to Twitter to refute a National Enquirer story claiming that he and supposed boyfriend Ben Maisani are adopting a Haitian orphan, according to Gawker.com . Cooper Tweeted, "From ac: while the plight of children in Haiti has touched us all, stories about me adopting a baby are completely false." A source reportedly told the Enquirer that Cooper and Maisani "have decided to become dads. ... They both feel they're ready for a baby."
Controversial radio personality Don Imus has expressed his support of same-sex marriagein his own way, according to PerezHilton.com . Imus, 70, recently told attorneys Ted Olson and David Boies ( who recently argued against Prop 8 in a Court of Appeals trial ) , "I supportednot that it's important, but I support it [ the freedom to marry ] on the basis of the philosophy of my friend Kinky Friedman, who thinks that they [ gay couples ] have a right to be as unhappy … as anybody." Imus generated much controversy in 2007 by referring to members of Rutgers University's women's basketball team as "nappy-headed hos," according to Wikipedia.
Model Nick Snider, 21who has worked for Yves Saint Laurent and Prada campaignsallegedly offered sexual favors to Arkansas police officers after being arrested for being disorderly and drunk in public, according to an Advocate.com item that cited The Smoking Gun Web site. Snider allegedly offered to perform oral sex on Deputy Brian Luetschwager, the arresting officer, as well as other cops at the station, including the booking jailer. He was then also charged with attempting to influence a public servant, but pled not guilty to all three counts in Independence County district court.
