Bellboys, Bears and Baggage, Redmoon, through June 8. Shakespeare's The Winter's Tale gets thoroughly deconstructed in this playfully massive and intricately designed performance art piece that fills a Pilsen warehouse with exactly what is promised in the title. SCM
Henry V, Chicago Shakespeare Theatre at Navy Pier, through June 15. A scrappy young commander and his assorted homeys kick the butts of the big bullies in this action-comics interpretation of Shakespeare's history play. Ooo-rah! MSB
Jacob, Provision Theatre, through June 15. Even if the sermon in this update of the Bible story about an all-night wrestling match is lost on you, you'll love John Mossman and Timothy Gregory's mixed-martial arts match in the second act. MSB
Juno, TimeLine Theatre, through July 27. Marc Blitzstein's rarely-seen musical of Sean O'Casey's Juno and the Paycock preserves all O'Casey's brooding tragedy but jettisons much of the character comedy. It's a problem, although this production is beautifully sung, acted, played and staged. Indeed, Off-Loop doesn't get much better. JA
