End Days, Next Theatre, through Nov. 29. Deborah Zoe Laufer's quirky comedy may have all the glaring signatures of a sitcom, but she also posits questions into deeper issues of Evangelical faith and belief in the Rapture. Next's production is plenty of fun. SCM
Mojo Mickybo, Seanachai Theatre, through Dec. 6. Playing 17 roles between them, Robert Kauzleric and Dan Waller capture both the summertime idyll of two Belfast 10-year-olds and the tragedy of Ireland's devastating troubles that eventually ensnares them. Director Jeff Christian makes Owen McCafferty's drama vivid and memorable. CS
