The 2005 season for the CMSA Men's Sunday Softball league began April 24 in very chilly weather. The league has a record 37 teams this year. The Men's league is the largest league of its kind in the nation. Games are played every Sunday at Margate Park located on the lakefront and Lawrence Ave and also at Clarendon Park which is located at Wilson and Marine.
The 3rd annual Chi-Town Softball Classic will be held July 2-3, drawing more than 60 teams from throughout North America. All games are played in Chicago.
Also coming in July is the 3rd Annual Bachelor Auction benefiting CMSA Men's Softball and other Chicago LGBT charities.
The Thursday Night league is in its third year. It's the only LGBT weeknight league known in the U.S., with games at Pottawatomie Park in Rogers Park.
