As the NBA season rapidly approaches its end for 2022, the Chicago Bulls (45-32), on March 31, defeated the Los Angeles Clippers (37-40) 135-130 in overtime at the United Center as DeMar DeRozan had a monster game.
DeRozan scored 17 points in the fourth quarter and added 10 more in overtime as he ended up with 50 points. Nikola Vucevic added 22 points and 14 rebounds, while Zach LaVine scored 21.
According to ESPN, Chicago is just 7-11 since the All-Star break, but it has won three of the past four games to stop its free fall in the standings. The Bulls are currently fifth in the conference; their next three gamesagainst Miami, Milwaukee and Bostonare against teams ahead of them in the conference.
Reggie Jackson led Los Angeles with 34 points.
The Bulls next host the Miami Heat on Saturday, April 2.
Against one of the better teams in the NHL, the Chicago Blackhawks fell flat.
The Florida Panthers (46-25-6) flattened the Blackhawks (24-34-10) 4-0 on March 31 at Miami's FLA Live Arena.
Jonathan Toews hit a milestone, playing his 1,000th game for Chicago.
Collin Delia made 40 stops in the loss.
The Blackhawks continue their Florida excursion on Friday, April 1, in Tampa against the Lightning.
