Nikola Vucevic had 29 points and 12 rebounds while DeMar DeRozan had 24 points and Zach LaVine added 21 as the Chicago Bulls (12-18) beat the host Miami Heat (16-16) 113-103 on Dec. 20.
In winning, Chicago snapped a four-game losing streak.
The Bulls used a 30-7 run in the second half to take controllooking nothing like the team that lost 150-126 to Minnesota on Dec. 18, ESPN noted.
"It was good to get a win, get that positive feeling a little bitespecially after that very tough, terrible loss," Vucevic said. "It was needed. Hopefully, we can learn from this."
Chicago next plays at the Atlanta Hawks on Wed., Dec. 21.
On Dec. 20, the Northwestern University Wildcats men's basketball team (9-2) routed the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC) Flames (8-5) 92-54.
Northwestern stormed to a 42-21 halftime lead, cruising from there. Five Wildcats players scored in double figures.
The Wildcats will next host Brown University on Thursday, Dec. 29. UIC will host Illinois State University on Wed., Dec. 28.
