Some of the other new appointees include NBA player Stephen Curry and his celebrity wife, Ayesha; retired WNBA player Tamika Catchings; Tina Flournoy, who was chief of staff to Vice President Kamala Harris from 2021 to 2022; snowboarder Chloe Kim; chef-owner Michael Solomonov; Allison O'Toole, the CEO of Second Harvest Heartland, a regional food bank; and Melissa Stockwell, the first female American Soldier to lose a limb in Operation Iraqi Freedom, a member of the U.S. Paralympic Swim Team and a co-founder of the non-profit organization Dare2tri Paratriathlon club.

Last year, Biden appointed chef-owner Jose Andres and WNBA player Elena Delle Donne as co-chairs of the council.
