In a throwback to the days of Hugh Hefner, Asians and Friends Chicago (AFC) will host a Playboy and Playgirl "Bunny"-themed dinner celebrating the Year of the Rabbit, bringing together members of the LGBTQ+ community to recognize the start of the Chinese lunar calendar.
The dinner will be held on Saturday, Feb. 4, at Chengdu Impressions, 5900 N. Broadway, at 7 p.m. Raffles, games and special performances by AFC members will bring back the Playboy bunnies from the '60s and '70s.
"We're the only LGBTQ organization in the city that hosts a Chinese New Year event and we're happy to do so," AFC Board President Angel Abcede said in a statement. "Our members look forward to this annual gathering, which took a hiatus for a couple of years because of COVID. We're back now and ready to celebrate!"
Tickets are $35/presale; $45 after Jan. 28; and $50 at the door. To purchase tickets, visit AFC's website at afchicago.org . |
