CHICAGO Cards Against Humanity announced today a new "Pride Pack," an expansion pack that contains 30 new cards about queer culture.
"As a member of the queer community, it means so much to me when companies decide to put rainbows on products," Cards Against Humanity writer Eunji Kim said. "Our new Pride Pack can be enjoyed by everyone, even straights."
The pack is available for $5 on CAHPride.love. All profits on Pride Pack sales earned now through July 31 and every June annually thereafter will directly benefit Howard Brown Health, a non-profit working to eliminate the disparities experienced by the LQBTQIA+ community.
In Chicago, Howard Brown Health is known for their Latino health services program and for providing services to homeless LGBTQIA+ youth.
"We're so proud to be the go-to healthcare provider for our queer Chicagoans and grateful to Cards Against Humanity for their support of our mission," said Erik Roldan, director of communications for Howard Brown Health. "The care we give our patients is tailored to their individual needs. If patients want to talk about their butts, we will provide a safe and affirming space to address any of their butt-related health concerns. We can, and do, sometimes talk about butts all day."
Similar Cards Against Humanity expansion packs have raised nearly $5 million for charity partners including DonorsChoose.org, the EFF, the Sunlight Foundation, the Wikimedia Foundation, Heifer International, and the Chicago Design Museum.
Howard Brown Health exists to eliminate the disparities in healthcare experienced by lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender people through research, education, and the provision of services that promote health and wellness. Howard Brown provides primary and specialty healthcare, social services, and infectious disease screenings to more than 32,000 people each year. |
