Chicago Red Stars stay undefeated
On March 23, the Chicago Red Stars took down the Seattle Reign FC 2-1 in the club's home opener at SeatGeek Stadium.
With the win, the Red Stars are now 2-0-0 with six points to start the seasonthe first time the club's started with six points.
Midfielder Julia Bianchi and defender Maxi Rall scored goals for Chicago. Bianchi scored a goal for the Red Stars last season in a friendly match against Mexico's Women's National Team, but had not scored in NWSL competitions until this match. Also, the victory marked goalkeeper Alyssa Naeher's 50th win with Chicago; she is the first goalkeeper in the National Women's Soccer League to win 50 matches with one team.
Next, the Red Stars will take on the Orlando Pride on Friday, March 29, in Florida at Inter&Co Stadium.
