On Jan. 10, GLAAD President and CEO Sarah Kate Ellis and Kathy Hilton hosted a pre-event cocktail reception celebrating The Future of Representation ahead of GLAAD's historic Governors Award Emmy honor at Hilton's private L.A. residence.
Co-chairs included Greg Berlanti and Robbie Rogers, Neil Patrick Harris and David Burtka, Bruce Bozzi, Kelly Bush Novak, Billy Eichner, Andy Gelb, Liz Jenkins, Brooke Karzen, Brian Kelly, Brad Goreski and Gary Janetti, Hernan Lopez, Jonathan Murray, Billy Porter, Omar Sharif Jr., Chip Sullivan, Jason Weinberg, Jess Cagle and Matt Whitney, Nico Santos and Zeke Smith, Niecy Nash Betts and Jessica Betts, and Stephen Warren and Johnnie Ingram.
GLAAD will receive the Governors Award at the 75th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards on Monday, Jan. 15. The award "recognizes GLAAD's work over nearly four decades to secure fair, accurate and diverse representation of the LGBTQ community in the media and entertainment industries and to advocate for LGBTQ equality," per a press release.
Ellis will accept the honor during the telecast on Fox.
