On July 28, Northwestern University was slapped with a civil-rights lawsuit in Illinois Northern District Court, according to Law.com.
The lawsuit was brought by Disparti Law Group on behalf of a student of the university's Qatar campus who claims he was denied due process amid false accusations of assaulting another student, resulting in his suspension and damage to his reputation.
The plaintiff also stated that he was subjected to gender and disability bias.
The presiding judge is Elaine E. Bucklo.
