For the first time this year, the entire United States is not on the Chicago Department of Public Health's (CDPH) weekly COVID-19 travel advisory.
Forty-eight states and four territories remain on the advisory after Maryland was removed.
For any state or territory to be removed from the travel advisory, it must have a daily COVID-19 case rate of under 15 for two consecutive weeks. Three states and three territories with daily case rates below 15 could come off the advisory next week.
The U.S. average daily case rate per 100,000 residents is 23.6. Illinois' daily case rate currently is 13.5 (33.8 last week). Chicago's daily case rate is 10.3 (15.9 last week).
