The Chicago Bulls (13-7) got back on the winning trackand remained in first place in the NBA's Central Divisionwith a 123-88 victory over the Orlando Magic on Nov. 27 in Florida.
DeMar DeRozan scored 23 points and Zach LaVine added 21 for the Bulls, per ESPN.com. Also, playing in Orlando for the first time after nine seasons with the Magic, Chicago center Nikola Vucevic added 16 points and eight rebounds in the rout.
Wendell Carter Jr., who went the other way in the March 25 trade that sent Vucevic to Chicago, had 26 points and 10 rebounds for the Magic. Orlando has lost five straight.
The Bulls next play the Miami Heat in Chicago on Nov. 27.
On Nov. 26, the Chicago Blackhawks (7-11-2) scored a 3-2 overtime win over the St. Louis Blues (10-7-3).
The win was especially impressive as the 'Hawks trailed 2-0 at intermission.
Alex DeBrincat scored the game-winner in overtime to complete the comeback bid, following regulation goals from Jujhar Khaira in the second and Brandon Hagel with just over five minutes to play in the third.
The Blackhawks host the San Jose Sharks on Nov. 28 at the United Center as the team hosts "Hockey Fights Cancer" night.
Former Chicago Bear Dan Hampton was recently arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated in northwest Indiana, CBS Chicago reported.
The Lake County Sheriff's office reported that Winfield, Indiana police arrested Hampton, a resident of that municipality, at 11:59 p.m. on Nov. 20. He was charged with operating a vehicle while intoxicated and was released from jail the following morning.
CNN reported that Hampton was also arrested on drunken driving charges on Jan. 28, 2002, and sentenced to a week in jail. He was also arrested for driving while intoxicated in 1996 and 1997.
Hampton, nicknamed "Danimal," played for the Bears from 1979 until 1990, and was on the legendary 1985 team that won Super Bowl XX.
