The Chicago Department of Public Health (CDPH) removed three states and returned one to its weekly COVID-19 travel advisory on Nov. 16.
The advisory stands at 38 states and one territory.
Alabama, Mississippi and Tennesseeall of which have had daily COVID case rates of under 15 per 100,000 population for two consecutive weekscame off the advisory. Arkansas, whose daily COVID case rate per 100,000 rose to 16.6, returned to the travel list.
Currently, the exceptions to the travel advisory are Alabama, Connecticut, D.C., Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Louisiana, Maryland, Mississippi, Puerto Rico, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas and the Virgin Islands.
The U.S. average daily case rate per 100,000 residents is 24.3, up from 21.6 last week. Illinois' daily case rate currently is 25.5 (19.7 last week). Chicago's daily case rate is 16.1.
