In WNBA action, the Chicago Sky defeated the Dallas Wings 81-64 in the first round of the 2021 playoffs, at Wintrust Arena on Sept. 23.
Under current head coach and general manager James Wade, the team holds a 2-2 record in the postseason.
For the game, Sky forward Kahleah Copper scored 23 points, leading all players. Forward Candace Parker made history against Dallas, as she became the seventh player in playoff history to score at least 900 points in the postseason.
With the win, the Sky advanced to play either the third-seeded Minnesota Lynx or the fourth-seeded Seattle Storm. Chicago's seeding will be determined by the final score of the single elimination game between the Phoenix Mercury (the fifth seed) and the New York Liberty (the eighth seed).
