Chicago Gay Men's Chorus (CGMC) will present a virtual production of "Lipstick & Lyrics: Diva Dracula," on March 6, 12 and 13 at 8 p.m. CT.
Featuring 15 drag performers, Diva Dracula embarks on a journey through the macabrewith a CGMC twist. Viewers can look forward to 18 musical numbers, including "Sound of Silence," by Simon and Garfunkel; "Can't Be Tamed," by Miley Cyrus; "Cannibal," by Kesha; "Spooky," by Dusty Springfield; "I Put A Spell on You," by Nina Simone; and more.
With the entire 2020-21 season based on famous novels, Bram Stoker's Dracula made the final cut for Lipstick & Lyrics. "A spooky drag show seemed like something that CGMC hasn't done before," said Artistic Director James Morehead. "It's a blast to take drag to a different level again with this Halloween in March concept."
