Blackhawks ban Native American headdresses at games

The NHL team the Chicago Blackhawks announced that they are barring headdresses from their home games at the United Center as part of their pledge to honor the Native American community, according to USA Today.

Among other things, the Blackhawks are working to establish a new wing at Trickster Cultural Center—the only Native American-owned and -operated arts institution in Illinois.
