Co-chairs and the Affinity Community Services board of directors recently announced that Affinity's 25th-anniversary event will be a virtual experience taking place the weekend of Oct. 9-11, with the centerpiece event on Saturday, Oct. 10.
Co-chairs Anna DeShawn-Rainey and Mary F. Morten stated in an email, "In an abundance of caution, we believe it is best to celebrate alone together this year.
"Please plan on joining us for all the happenings as we celebrate 25 years of dedication, commitment, fierceness and radical acts."
Affinity is a social-justice organization serving the needs of the Black LGBTQ+ community, with a particular focus on Black women. See Affinity95.org .
