Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel announced that the city is on track to reach the goal of 55 million visitors annually at the end of this yearthree years early, according to a press release.
Chicago has been setting tourism records every year since 2012. Last year, more than 54 million people visited the city.
The release added that, to build on that progress, the Institute of Food Technologistswith members representing more than 95 countries from virtually every discipline related to food sciencewill begin a decade of meetings in 2020.
