This has been a big week for new music, so here goes...

The obvious big release is Hard Candy. I will cut to the chase and just say it's not as good as Confessions. However, as with most Madonna albums, there are points of interest. 'Beat Goes On' sounds nothing like the early version that was leaked online and even sports a guest rap appearance from Kanye West! 'Devil Wouldn't Recognize You' is possibly the strongest track on the album. It's filled with lush production and inspired lyrics. Japan got the same bonus track iTunes had with the pre-orders, so die hard fans can get a hard copy of 'Ring My Bell.'

Sevendust collaborated with Chris Daughtry recently. 'The Past' is an excellent song, and definitely worth your iTunes dollar. The rest of the Chapter VII: Hope & Sorrow album goes back to their usual devil music... not that there's anything wrong with that.

I recently discovered what has to be one of the best hip-hop series. The Crunk Hits series has currently released four volumes of what I can only describe as 'Now That's What I Call Music' gone ghetto fabulous. The most recent addition has everything from '2 Step' and 'Rock Yo Hips' to 'Party Like A Rockstar' and 'Lean Wit It, Rock Wit It.'

My last tidbits are on Trina and M.I.A. Trina did a great song with Missy Elliot. You can get 'I Got A Bottle' on her new album, or on iTunes for a dollar. I can't wait to see the queens battling to it. M.I.A. is coming to town on May 9 to the Aragon Ballroom.
