With gas prices being what they are, the expectations I had placed on my visit to Encompass in Lake Station, IN were through the roof. As you can see, for shock value alone, it was well worth the drive. Check out page 16 to see the oldest drag queen in captivity, Lotta Balls. C'mon, wouldn't YOU cross state lines for that kinda madness? Julia's show goes down every other Sunday out there. Check 'em out this Sunday for a western motif.

Happy 2nd anniversary to Crew Bar+Grill. Seems like it's been longer. Can't remember a world without it. Paul wasn't too happy about the bloody drag queen shot, but I was able to charm him into my way of thinking. Mark my words: that man will be my future ex-husband.
On a personal note, why did I think that hooking up on craigslist was any less jackass-like than hooking up in bars? I got the bug last night and decided to check it out. Among my responses were a guy who turned me down for being too short, a married dude in Deerfield and, my favorite, some jerk who sent me his face pic... that he stole from a good friend of mine! Oh, what drama!
