Hundreds of high school and college-aged young women will meet in Chicago on Saturday, Nov. 9, to explore topics of intersectional feminism, empowerment and activism with speakers ( such as Eva Maria Lewis, founder of the I Project and co-founder of Youth for Black Lives ), panels, performances and action-oriented break-out sessions at the Cause the Effect Young Feminist Conference.

The event will take place 9 a.m.-1:30 p.m. at MOTOROLA Mobility, 222 W. Merchandise Mart Plaza, 19th floor.

Guided by leaders from more than 40 partner organizations, attendees seek to effect change on issues like climate change, gun violence, women's health and reproductive rights, gender-based violence and LGBTQ+ rights.

While the content is targeted to young feminists, all are welcome and encouraged to attend.

Founded by Commissioner Bridget Gainer in 2015, Cause the Effect Chicago was created to amplify the voices of women and girls to change the world through direct action and political activism. For more information, visit CauseTheEffectChicago.org .
