The Line Rider game has been around forever, but I've been too busy covering alien cow abduction and zit-popping videos to get around to it until now. For the five of you who aren't familiar with it, you basically draw a path for this little sled guy to go cruising along. It's simple enough, but some people create some amazingly intricate paths. Do a YouTube search on 'Line Rider' to get an idea. You'll turn up hundreds of videos. Many of them suck, but some of them are pretty damn amazing, especially when you consider that there's no eraser in the game. Once you put a line down it's there unless you start over.

Be still my racing heart. The crazy cat people over at MessyBeast have posted info that is intensely satisfying to my freak impulses. It's everything you ever wanted to know about two-faced, cyclopean, and other mutant cats. And yes, it includes oodles of pictures. So no sooner do I make a joke in here in Intermission about a Stephen Hawking audio book than this site pops up. It seems someone got hold of the same speech synthesis software that Hawking uses and decided that it would be great fun to have him 'sing.' Fortunately for the world, he decided to share his labors with us via the World Wide Weird. 'Stairway to Heaven' is a particularly delicious audio morsel. Pity he didn't have Hawking do 'Puttin' on the Ritz,' or 'Istanbul ( Not Constantinople ) .' Oh lookee! They take suggestions! Life is good.
