BOOK: N.Z. GAY
MP FATHERED
CHILDREN
A new book says gay New Zealand Member of Parliament Chris Carter has fathered two children for a lesbian couple.
Carter has refused to confirm the report outright, but he told the Sunday Star Times: "For myself it is not an issue. We could be talking about other people here ... people who go to schools, who live in communities and who have a whole life. I am not prepared to compromise their privacy and feed his [ the book author's ] desire for salaciousness. And if it was true, it is not a story that I am ashamed of."
