Design Industries Foundation Fighting AIDS/Chicago ( DIFFA/Chicago ) will present its inaugural "World AIDS Day benefit: STAND UP FOR RED Indoor Street Fest" on Thursday, Nov. 30, 5:30-9:30 p.m. at Center on Halsted, 3656 N. Halsted St.
The event will showcase DIFFA's Excellence In Care Award grantees, AIDS Chicago Foundation PrEP4LOVE, as well as have a special interactive exhibit called "Life: Fight: Love," featuring former board member Jim Petrakis.
In addition, there will be live art and music, a collection of curated shops, bites from some of Chicago's top restaurants and specialty cocktails from Tito's Vodka. The goal is to remind the public that HIV has not gone away and there is still a need to raise money, fight prejudice, increase awareness and improved education.
Center on Halsted will receive a portion of the proceeds.
