Former Chicago Red Stars Yuki Nagasato and Savannah McCaskill returned to Chicago for the first time as the Red Stars fell to Racing Louisville FC 3-0 on June 26 at SeatGeek Stadium.
In Casey Krueger's probable last home match since being named an alternate for the 2020 Tokyo Games, she played the entire 90 minutes of the game. Krueger lead the team in successful duel percentage with 85.7%, 28 passes with an accuracy percentage of 75%, 47 touches, and two tackles.
Also, the game was most likely the last home game for Krueger, Tierna Davidson and Alyssa Naeher until late summer. All three, as well as trainer Emily Fortunato, were recognized at the end of the game with flowers and cards as they will travel to Tokyo for the Summer Games along with Julie Ertz, who is still recovering from an injury sustained earlier in the season.
The Red Stars travel to take on the Washington Spirit on Friday, July 2, at 6:30 p.m. CT.
